Inkl. freier Eintritt zur BASTA! 2010 und Teilnahme an der Keynote von Rockford Lhotka
Join well-known author and speaker Rockford Lhotka for this three day workshop, and learn how to build distributed applications in .NET. Rockford is also the creator of the widely used CSLA .NET framework, which enables its users to create powerful n-tier and service-oriented applications for both smart clients and the web. He’ll bring the lessons learned from building and maintaining this framework from the past 10 years, and share them with you.
You will learn how to answer the architecture and design choices we face when designing and building distributed applications. What type of UI technology should be used? Silverlight, WPF, ASP.NET? Should the application use an efficient n-tier model, or a more complex but robust SOA model? How should business logic (rules, calculations, validation, authorization) be organized in the application? And what technology or technique should be used for data access and storage?
And you’ll learn how to address many common challenges around distribution of processing, transfer of data between tiers or across service boundaries, authentication and authorization and data access. The workshop will also cover the techniques necessary to create a powerful business layer that can support Silverlight, WPF, Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC and service interfaces for your application. This includes the details behind data binding for smart client technologies, model binding in MVC and other important concepts.
When you complete this workshop you will have the tools to decide between n-tier and service-oriented architectures, and the technical knowledge required to implement both types of architecture.
